Monthly meetings at the Bude Golf Club
We intend to hold a meeting at the golf club on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 at 8pm and invite members to attend.
The meeting will take place in the usual room upstairs subject to the following proviso:
1. Masks will be worn during the meeting.
2. Due to social distancing only 16 people will be allowed in the room, consisting of 2 people sat at a table at the front of the room, three rows of 4 people per row and 2 people on a sofa at the back of the room.
Those members unable to access the room due to the restricted numbers will be invited to remain downstairs and socialise
until the meeting ends. Should it be necessary I am prepared to hold a second meeting for those who missed out.
The formal meetings will be kept short then we can all socialise downstairs.(The golf club do not want us to hold a formal meeting downstairs as it could disturb golf club members.) Main topics will be runs out and the Christmas Dinner.
I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday.
All the very best Steve White.
Norman Dewis 1920-2019
Norman Dewis, who developed the Jaguar C-type, D-type and E-type, has died. In his 33-year Jaguar career, he covered a quarter of a million miles at more than 100mph
Norman was a great friend and supporter of Bude Motor Club, and many of us will remember the entertaining and informative talk he gave us at the Bullers Arms some years ago to a packed house. One of life's true gentlemen. You can read more about Normans' fantastic career on the Motor Sport Magazine website.
